Bio

Tuomas Pajari is a Finnish arranger, composer and trombone player based in Amsterdam.

 

Pajari was awarded the 2nd Prize in an arranging competition held by Vantaa Pops Orchestra in 2023 with an arrangement of Embraceable You by George Gershwin for a symphony orchestra and a rhythm section. His arrangements have been performed by many big bands and symphony orchestras, such as The Finnish Air Force Big Band, Trøndelag Big Band (Norway), Lappeenranta, Joensuu and Vaasa City Orchestras and Kymi Sinfonietta.

Tuomas Pajari is the co-founder, composer and trombone player for Midnight Sun Collective – an ensemble of 10 musicians/composers from Finland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway. The group played their first concerts in July 2023 at Classical Beat Festival in Germany. In May 2024 Midnight Sun Collective recorded its debut album, which will be released in the summer of 2025.

Tuomas Pajari is currently working on two album projects as composer and bandleader,  that are supposed to see the daylight in 2025-2026.
